According to a municipal statement, "Last Thursday, the new Local Sports Council was established, a participatory body that expands its representation and adapts to the current state of the municipality's sports landscape. In addition to the existing representatives, new members from different sports sectors who were not previously represented have been added."
Thus, the press release explains, "representatives from the Sports in Nature program, students from the School Sports Program and the Children's Council, representatives from inclusive sports and women's sports, and four representatives from the fields of sports training, medicine, and physiotherapy to work towards creating projects for healthy physical activity and active aging, join the existing representatives so that all sectors of sports in the municipality have a voice on this council."
To find out the list of members approved in the first call for the Council, those interested can visit the new website of the Sports Service www.deportescieza.es and consult it in the Local Regulations section.
In the words of the Councillor for Sports, Carlos Semitiel, "we consider this representative body as a fundamental tool for the Sports Service when it comes to developing all the challenges that we have set as priorities in this legislature."
According to Semitiel, "with the modification in its representation, we have expanded the number of members so that all sectors of the sports field are represented and to continue working hand in hand with athletes and people related to Cieza sports in the direction we want to focus the new projects."
