Culture, guided tours and gastronomy in the Cieza Flowering program

The Cieza Flowering Festival will take place this year from February 12 to March 22, with an extensive program of activities of all kinds that will complement the views of the Cieza fields full of flowering fruit trees, as announced today by the Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports, Carmen Conesa, accompanied by the mayor of the town, Tomás Rubio.

The councilor assured that the flowering is for the Region of Murcia "a consistent tourist product, and with that approach we have gone to Fitur this year, conveying to all the potential clientele that this great international fair has, that in the Region of Murcia we have this wonder of nature that our fields give us throughout a good part of the year."

This year's program offers visits to the Cieza countryside and combines art, music and a unique lived and shared experience, as a development of a phenomenon that attracts thousands of tourists every year and that boosts the economy of the town and the region by offering all its landscape, cultural and gastronomic richness.

The Cieza City Council, with the support of the regional government, is promoting a program of actions and activities to offer a complete proposal suitable for all audiences, which will begin on February 12 with live jazz music, until its conclusion, on the eve of Holy Week.

There are several sports and participatory activities, such as the solidarity walk, the Spanish Walking Championship, the Color Run, the motorcycle meet-up and ride, the padel tournament, the climb to Portazgo, the 'family bike' route and the multi-adventure proposal linked to the Almadenes Interpretation Center.

The cultural program is mainly based at the Capitol Theatre and other venues in the municipality, with shows and concerts such as Creaviva, Los lunes al sol, the Medina Siyâsa concert, the Bloom Sound Festival, Voces que Florecen, Sones de Pasión, the Siloé concert and the Florafest Cieza Festival, in addition to theatrical performances and a video forum.

The Flowering is also experienced in the street, with initiatives such as the quick painting competition, the Degusta Cieza gastronomic fair, the Pianos in Bloom program, the craft market and traditional dances and folklore.

Peaches take center stage in menus and tastings at the Cieza Flowering 2026 program

Several establishments will offer menus and tasting proposals where the peach is the main ingredient, and the private sector will complete the offer with guided tours through the flowering fields, sunset experiences, proposals for schools, packages for large groups and agencies, and original formats such as the Florabike / multitandem or tours on tourist trains, in addition to combinations with tapas, music and adventure activities.

Finally, the program includes heritage visits, with guided tours of the Serreta cave-sinkhole and the Islamic archaeological site of Siyâsa, as well as the Siyâsa Night experience. In addition, seven different routes have been prepared for this year, in Spanish and some also in English.

The councilor emphasized that Cieza "is ready to give its best, to follow the flowering season, adorning it even more with all its beauty and exquisite features. And it does so at a particularly favorable time for inland and nature tourism in the Region of Murcia, with compelling data demonstrating a growing demand for tourism linked to nature, the rural environment, and authentic experiences, creating a clearly favorable scenario for the consolidation of ecotourism and for the launch of our new flowering season product as a strategic proposal to diversify and reduce the seasonality of the regional tourism offering."
