Digital skills course for rural women in Cieza

The Councillor for Women and Equal Opportunities, Melba Miñano Bleda, has inaugurated the introductory course in basic digital skills organized by the State Employment Service aimed at women from the rural area of Cieza.

This course will last 52 hours and will be taught in the WALA classroom of the Géneros de Punto Social Center in the morning.

The main objective is to eliminate the existing digital gender gap by offering participants a set of tools to facilitate their entry into the digital world, thereby improving their ICT skills and promoting their empowerment. In this way, measures are being implemented to guarantee women's integration into the Information Society and new technologies. "It is, therefore, a process that fosters decision-making capacity and generates renewed potential for personal and social change," the council representatives stated.
