Municipal sources from the Cieza City Council report that Aula Mentor is launching a new call for free Open Mentor courses. Registration for the courses is free through Aula Mentor Cieza (Murcia).
The registration period is November 30th. Courses have limited spaces, which will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
The training will begin on December 1st. These courses do not have in-person exams, and therefore only the certificate of completion or attendance issued by Cisco for its courses, or the certificate issued by the tutors for the rest, will be issued.

The courses for the open mentor call for November 2023 are as follows:
Linux Unhatched (Cisco): Allows students to begin exploring Linux, the ultimate operating system used by global powerhouses such as Facebook, Google, Microsoft, NASA, Tesla, Amazon, and many more. You'll be able to install and modify basic Linux configurations and understand the basics of the Linux command-line interface (CLI). Course length: 2 months.
Introduction to the Internet of Things (CISCO): Increased internet access combined with an ever-increasing number of devices designed to connect is creating an unlimited number of opportunities. Everything is going to be connected! No prior knowledge of the subject is required. Anyone interested in the world of connectivity and with intermediate computer skills can take this course. Course duration: 2 months.
Introduction to Cybersecurity (CISCO): Today's interconnected world makes us all more vulnerable to cyberattacks. Whether you're interested in cybersecurity for work or simply interested in protecting yourself online and on social media, this introductory course is for you. It explores cyber trends, threats, and the topic of cybersecurity in a relevant way. You'll learn how to protect your online privacy and learn about the challenges facing businesses, governments, and educational institutions. Course length: 2 months.
Digital Entrepreneurship
Digital Entrepreneurship (CISCO): Focuses on teaching critical financial and business attitudes, behaviors, and skills to help you succeed in the 21st-century workplace. This course is designed to help you hone the skills you would use as an employee in any job. Many of the skills learned in this course are known as interpersonal skills. Course length: 2 months.
Networking Essentials (CISCO): This course teaches the fundamentals of networking, including how network devices communicate, network addressing, how to create a home network and basic network security configuration, Cisco device configuration basics, and network testing and troubleshooting procedures. Course length: 2 months.
Get Connected (CISCO): The digital world is now a reality, both personally and professionally. A better understanding of the internet, computers, and social media can greatly contribute to your digital skills development. Once you have these skills, you'll have even more opportunities to advance your career. Learn how to use a computer, connect devices, and access search, email, and social media. No prior knowledge is required for this introductory course. Course duration: 2 months.
Cybersecurity Essentials
Cybersecurity Essentials (CISCO): The Cybersecurity Essentials 1.0 course is designed for students interested in pursuing more advanced studies in the field of cybersecurity. This preparatory course provides an overview of the cybersecurity field. The curriculum analyzes the characteristics and tactics used by cybercriminals. It then delves into the technologies, products, and procedures that cybersecurity professionals use to combat cybercrime. The curriculum is appropriate for students at many educational levels and types of institutions, including high schools, community colleges, universities, technical and vocational schools, and community centers. Course length: 2 months.
Introduction to Salesforce: SalesForce is a suite of programs designed to manage customer relationships, known in the business world as Customer Relationship Management (CRM). This course introduces the tool and provides the knowledge needed for initial use. Course duration: 3 months.
Salesforce Administration: This course is aimed at anyone interested in learning about sales processes or business tools from a technological perspective. Although prior completion of the Mentor classroom course is not required, Introduction to Salesforce makes it easier to manage the platform and complete the course in the allotted time. Course duration: 2 months.
Introduction to Physics: This course will explore the fundamental concepts and principles of the scientific method, kinematics (the branch of physics that studies motion), dynamics (the branch of physics that studies the causes of motion), and the various forms of energy. Course duration: 2 months.
