Sources from the Cieza City Council report that, due to the works being carried out on the La Mulata dam, the volume of water in the Segura River as it passes through the municipality of Cieza could increase in the coming hours. Therefore, they urge all citizens to exercise extreme caution, especially potential bathers and active tourism companies that may have activities scheduled on the river.
Iberdrola, the company carrying out the aforementioned work, has detailed that these are maintenance works on one of the dam's floodgates.
The aforementioned sources also emphasize that the Segura River Basin Authority has reported that they have begun releasing water from the Judío reservoir in a volume of between 100 and 200 liters.
