The Education and Social Welfare reconciliation workshops are leisure and free time activities for children between 3 and 12 years of age whose parents are working or receiving training for employment.

This activity is subsidized and co-financed by the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities and the European Social Fund.

The workshops take place at the CEIP Antonio Buitrago «Zaraiche» school from July 6th to 31st, both inclusive, from 9am to 2pm.

They are intended to care for children whose parents are working or receiving training for employment, giving priority within this premise to single-parent families, families with children recognized with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33% and families at risk of social exclusion.

Registration is free and can be picked up here and deliver it to the General Registry of the City Hall or by sending it to the email address ciezaconcilia@gmail.com.

María Ramos specified that there are 40 places available, with priority given to children with disabilities, as well as children from families where both parents work or single-parent families where one parent works. Melba Miñano emphasized the "necessity of providing support to families who lack the personal and financial resources to care for their children during the summer months, and facilitating work for parents to achieve economic stability after the state of emergency." Finally, the mayor stated that "in these challenging times, these types of work-life balance initiatives are even more crucial. The council departments responsible for planning these workshops have worked diligently to ensure that everything complies with the necessary safety and prevention measures during this pandemic. The workshops include a wide range of activities: cultural, recreational, and educational support."
