The Cieza City Council participates in the meeting of the Commission in Defense of the Cartagena-Albacete Railway Corridor

The Councillor for Sustainable Mobility and Transport, Cristo Manuel Lucas,
He represented Mayor Tomás Rubio's government team this Friday in
the meeting of the Cartagena-Albacete Railway Corridor Commission,
after the City Council unanimously approved the membership
from Cieza to the aforementioned commission promoted by the Association of
Consumers and Users Network (CONSUMUR).

During the meeting held in the University's Graduation Hall
Polytechnic University of Cartagena, in which representatives of
administrations, political parties, universities and organizations
social services in Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia and the Region of Murcia, are
approved the work plan for the coming months.

In addition, the commission presented a communication project to strengthen
the public dissemination of its objectives and to encourage citizen involvement in
the recovery and modernization of this railway infrastructure
strategic.

The president of CONSUMUR, Roberto Barceló Vivancos, highlighted the
importance of “bringing the relevance of the railway axis closer to the public
Cartagena–Albacete in the economic and social structuring of the southeast
Spanish".

With this participation, the Cieza City Council reaffirms its commitment
with sustainable mobility and with the defense of a modern and efficient rail transport system that promotes the economic development of the municipality and
of its area of influence.
