At a meeting with various associations in Cieza, the Councilor for Economic Development, Antonio Moya, informed them of the three projects that had won funding and were awaiting evaluation.
From line 2.1 'Basic services to the population', three important projects have been financed Touch the Wing´, ASCOPAS and New Los Albares FoundationThe projects that have gone ahead will renovate the main pavilion of the Day Center of the New Los Albares Foundation, provide infrastructure for the work-life balance of people with disabilities from ASCOPAS and launch the 'Without Barriers' project of Tocaos del Ala.
En esta línea, han sido aprobados siete proyectos más a falta de redotación presupuestaria como el Complejo Juvenil `Catafrente´ de la OJE, el equipamiento del invernadero de ASCOPAS, además de los proyectos de mejora y equipamiento de accesibilidad a las TIC’s para personas con discapacidad intelectual de ASCOPAS y Nueva Fundación Los Albares.
Finally, in the area of Cultural and Natural Heritage, projects such as the expansion, rehabilitation and revitalization of the Esparto Interpretation Center of the Atalaya Club, the 9th Edition of the Popular Traditions Fair of the Peña Huertana 'El Caracol', the conditioning of the premises for the Municipal Music Band in which to give workshops to people with disabilities, the musealization of the House of the Brotherhood of Santa María Magdalena, the conservation and restoration of the paintings of the Brotherhood of San Bartolomé and a new website for the JHP along with the acquisition of computer equipment for the Federation of Associations of Choirs and Dances have been supported.
Many projects will follow the paths initiated by some departments within the current administration, providing information, assistance, and technical and legal advice to organizations and groups interested in developing new projects. “This administration, together with the interested groups, will continue to seek new funding avenues for the improvement and development of their projects. New resources mean new opportunities to reach more people,” stated Councilor Antonio Moya.
