The mayor of Cieza, Tomás Rubio; Jesús Cañavate Gea, general director of
Planning, Research, Pharmacy and Citizen Services, and the manager
Juan de Dios Cánovas, from Health Area IX, have officially inaugurated the
program in which 22 users take part.
The government team is working to achieve greater
implementation of services related to said plan.
Tomás Rubio has praised the coordination capacity between different
administrations to implement this plan which aims, through the
physical exercise and socialization with the participants in the group, helping to
people with sedentary lifestyles, loneliness or anxiety to educate themselves in the
sport to lead to a state of good health.
The Activa Murcia program for prescribing physical activity from the
primary care centers and hospitals in the Region, aimed at patients
with chronic conditions, as a health and prevention tool for
People who suffer from common chronic diseases, such as hypertension
Arterial, diabetes or cholesterol levels are thus resumed in health centers
East Cieza and West Cieza of health area IX.
To achieve this, special attention is paid to overcoming sedentary lifestyles, and the following is pursued:
change to healthier lifestyles in these patients.
The Activa Murcia program is promoted by the General Directorate of
Planning, Pharmacy and Health Research of the Ministry of Health,
It lasts for six months and takes place three days a week in sessions
one hour in sports facilities and municipal centers.
Currently, it has been spreading to numerous municipalities in the Region with
great acceptance by the citizens.
