The Siyâsa Museum in Cieza hosted the awards ceremony for the 13th Photography Contest 'Cieza's flowering Organized by the CAF Cieza Association together with the City Council, the event aims to encourage the discovery of the natural wealth of fruit trees in bloom in our rich landscape heritage, to photograph and share it, emphasizing the importance of agriculture in the municipality.
Cieza City Councilor for Culture, María Turpín, thanked all those who contributed their images to show the flowering landscape of Cieza, directly from their fields. In selecting these twenty photographs, the jury members considered the criteria already outlined in the contest rules, focusing on the artistic and technical quality of the images.
Furthermore, as in previous editions, the selected works will be part of the exhibition that will be open to the public until May 31st in the exhibition space of the Andalusian houses of the Siyâsa Museum of CiezaAmong the images are those awarded first, second, and third prizes, which go to Antonio Gómez, Isabel Aroca, and Pedro Sánchez, respectively.
The Mayor of Cieza, Tomás Rubio, CAF Cieza members Salvado Bleda and Ramón Morcillo, and the Director of the Municipal Museum Service, Joaquín Salmerón, spoke at the awards ceremony and the opening of the exhibition. Among the audience were Cieza City Council members Pascual Egea and José Miguel García.
