The Women's Department expresses its satisfaction with the significant and well-attended event at the exhibition against trafficking for sexual exploitation, "Don't Be an Accomplice."
The Councilor for Women and Equal Opportunities, Cristina García-Vaso, expresses her gratitude to the people of Cieza for the numerous visits to the exhibition "Don't Be an Accomplice," provided by the Institute for Women and Equal Opportunities of Madrid, through the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, and co-financed by the European Social Fund, at the Siyâsa Museum in Cieza.
This exhibition highlights human trafficking, specifically the trafficking of women for sexual exploitation.
This exhibition by the Government Delegation for Gender Violence highlights and denounces the situations of trafficking in women that exist in our country and in many parts of the world. It shows the stages of trafficking (recruitment, transportation, and exploitation), highlights the factors that make the victim vulnerable, and reflects the causes and consequences of this grave violation of women's rights. Clear examples of this are visualized in the realistic photographs in this exhibition.
The exhibition was attended by 735 people: students from Cieza's secondary schools, women from municipal associations, young people from youth associations, city officials, and the general public of Cieza.
A very large and notable attendance reflected the concerns, worries, and rejection of human trafficking by the people of Cieza.
The exhibition has been on display at the Siyâsa Museum in Cieza, since the day March 20th to March 31st,
