In this exhibition we can see that his work remains faithful to his artistic career. That is, in his aesthetics we deeply value the intimate relationship that exists between the perception of intimate and free emotions, with the ingenuity of the plurality of the observable. His painting is not for the masses, as That in all his paintings we breathe his own self, his vocation, his good taste, qualities that always transmit and communicate a message full of feelings to those who contemplate them.
His works encourage sensitivity and harmony, as his balanced compositions combine his artistic experience, knowledge of painting, and his unique temperament. This is how we can understand the thematic variety presented in this exhibition, from dreamlike themes, laden with psychological overtones, to landscape painting and precious representations of inanimate objects, as a means of personal expression.
Regardless of what's fashionable or not, Pedro Avellaneda's creations transcend any defined academicism, yet are never detached from the prevailing reality of the market. Art, specifically painting, is an essential part of his life. He cannot conceive of his existence without taking a brush to his hands and capturing his passions and desires on canvas, always with his typical weightless imprint, sinuous contours, and balanced compositions that allow us to recognize his serene and high-quality style in each of his paintings.
A lover of theater, poetry, and above all a vibrant landscape artist, he reveals the essence of painting in his canvases, without deliberately dwelling on the smallest details.
Through his luminous painting, filled with a wide range of colors that encompass shades of blue, gray, green, and even scarlet, we learn that nature is synonymous with light and color.
