A total of 20 groups filled the central streets of Cieza this Sunday afternoon for the carnival parade, which had to be postponed twice this year due to rain.
The participants walked along a crowded route, filling the streets with music, color, and fun.
The parade concluded in Plaza de España, where the various prizes were awarded. In the comparsas category, Guardianes de Arrecife won with 800 euros, second place with 500 euros went to Tradiciones Españolas, and third place with 400 euros went to Super Mario Dance City.
In the Parent-Teacher Association (AMPA) section, the winning school, with a prize of 500 euros, was El Bosque Encantado (The Enchanted Forest) from the José Marín School, El Fatego, and in second place was La Vuelta al Mundo en 80 días (Around the World in 80 Days) from the Parent-Teacher Association (AMPA) from Cristo del Consuelo School.
On the other hand, all participating Parent Associations (AMPAs) have received 300 euros.
