A man was injured after being hit by a truck in Cieza.

A man was seriously injured after being run over by a truck on the Camino de Murcia at the intersection with Juan de la Cierva Street in Cieza.
 
The accident occurred at 8:48 p.m. when the truck, traveling along Camino de Murcia, was about to turn right onto Juan de la Cierva Street. It was at that very moment that it failed to notice the man crossing the street, causing the collision. The cause of this accident is currently unknown.
 
Firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium, based in Cieza, were called to free the victim. An 061 ambulance attended to him on-site and, after stabilizing him, he was taken to Cieza Hospital. Given the severity of his injuries, he was finally transferred to Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital in Murcia.
