Los Albares IT wins four awards in the Regional Modding Competition

The 18th edition of the Regional Modding Competition organized by the CIFP Carlos III of Cartagena and to which teams from all over the Region of Murcia participated was decided on May 10th.

Four teams of students from the Intermediate Vocational Training Course in Computer Systems and Network Administration at IES Los Albares participated in this edition with their creations.

Modding involves customizing computers using various techniques, such as adding lights, modifying the chassis structure, installing components, and/or modifying their shape. The goal is to achieve a more attractive and spectacular design.

After the forced break due to the pandemic, the Los Albares High School once again participated in a competition that has become a classic. In fact, all four of its proposals were selected among the top five. The Star Wars team won second prize for their production, while the AHRI Project team took third. The CU-29 and OVNI teams placed fourth and fifth.

The awards ceremony took place on May 17 at the Carlos III CIFP in Cartagena, where the winning students received their diplomas and gifts. The ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Director General of Vocational Training of the CARM, Luis Eduardo Gómez Espín, and was also attended by representatives from the UPTC and UNED, as well as the directors of the award-winning schools. Once again, the IES Los Albares in particular and Cieza in general shine in the Vocational Training scene in the Region of Murcia, this time in the computer science specialty.
