The Cieza City Council, the Siyâsa Museum, and Sílex Arqueología y Difusión del Patrimonio SL will organize a course entitled "Course on Neanderthals and Homo salpiens: Ways of Life and Technological Adaptations," which will take place from July 10 to 12 at the Siyâsa Museum. This training activity is aimed at university students, researchers, and anyone interested in Prehistory. Registration will open on May 20.
The course offers a specialized approach to the study of Paleolithic societies in the Iberian Peninsula, with particular attention to the Mediterranean region and the southeastern part of the peninsula. The program combines theoretical and practical content aimed at analyzing the lifestyles, adaptation strategies, and technological development of Neanderthal and Homo sapiens groups.
It also includes experimental carving sessions, access to a technology library with archaeological replicas, and a field trip to the Cave of the Arch for contextualization of the topics covered.
