Thanks to citizen collaboration and swift police action, the podium that was to be used for the half marathon scheduled to take place hours later was recovered.
Early Sunday morning, a citizen alerted the local police, reporting that he had seen three young men carrying the podium of a sports event.
The officers were immediately able to intercept the three men and recover the podium. The appropriate police action was taken and the podium was returned to its place, at the location where the half-marathon had begun early in the morning.
