The objective is to promote family conciliation for families in Cieza.
The Departments of Social Policy and Youth have launched this service, which was presented this Monday at the Géneros de Punto Social Center by its directors, Melba Miñano and Marta Sánchez, respectively, along with the project coordinator and supervisor, María Dolores Rodríguez. The Co-Responsibles Project seeks to promote work-life balance for families with children and young people under 16 years of age, focusing on gender equality, the creation of quality employment in the care sector, and raising awareness about co-responsibility.
The new initiative is aimed at any family in general, but preferably in situations involving victims of gender-based violence, single-parent families, unemployed women who need training or actively seek employment, and individuals over 45 years of age or family units in which they bear other care-related responsibilities. The new initiative will activate assistance for minors at home and away from home, a weekend play center service (Thursday through Sunday) and Easter, and a training, information, and awareness-raising service on family co-responsibility and home care, aimed at men in the municipality, through courses and television programs.
The Councilor for Equality, Melba Miñano, emphasized that "we have reason to celebrate, as this new project will fill a vital gap for families who need our full support. With the implementation of useful services such as home and out-of-home care, we aim to facilitate adequate care for children and the integration of parents into social and professional life."
Families interested in applying for one or more of these resources should visit the Social Services building on Tuesday the 7th, Wednesday the 8th, Thursday the 9th, and Friday the 10th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with their family record book, parent's ID, income tax return, employment contract or pay stub, and proof of special circumstances such as a certificate of victim of domestic violence and a certificate of long-term unemployment. The application period will remain open for those wishing to apply for the service after the event. Services begin on Thursday, February 16th.
