The Autonomous Community and the City Council of Cieza will jointly offer the unique locations of this municipality to host filming. Cieza thus becomes the 31st municipality to join the Region of Murcia Film Commission.
The director general of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA), Manuel Cebrián, and the town's mayor, Tomás Rubio, signed the agreement at the Capitol Theater to work together to offer Cieza's natural and cultural heritage as a film location and facilitate the expediting of filming permits.
Manuel Cebrián emphasized that "we continue to join forces to demonstrate to all audiovisual production companies that we are committed to providing the best conditions for filming in the Region of Murcia." The inclusion of Cieza stands out for its scenic beauty and coincides with the magnificent natural spectacle of the flowering season.
Among the locations that will be incorporated into the catalogue of the Region of Murcia Film Commission are the La Serreta Cave, the Teodoro Mill, the food market, the Almadenes Canyon, the Balcony of the Wall, the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Good Success or the Medina Siyâsa site.
The 31 municipalities that are already part of the Region of Murcia Film Commission are: Abanilla, Abaran, Albudeite, Aledo, Alcantarilla, Alguazas, Archena, Blanca, Calasparra, Campos del Rio, Cartagena, Ceuta, Cieza, Fuente Alamo, La Union, Lorqui, Los Alcazares, Mazarron, Molina de Segura, Moratalla, Mula, Murcia, Ojos, Puerto Lumbreras, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar, Santomera, Totana, Ulea, Villanueva del Segura and Yecla.
