Nearly forty activities will take place from April 21st to 29th during the sixth edition of the Regional Children's and Young Adult Book Fair, where readers of all ages will be able to meet authors and explore their works. Among those present will be Paco López Mengual, Lola Toro, Juan Ramón Barat, Alicia Rico Forte, García de Saura, David S. Orange, and Lola P. Nieva. Local writers will also be represented, including Alba Navalón, Ángel Almela, and Pedro Diego Gil, among others.

The Councilor for Library and Reading Promotion, María Ramos, and the director of the Padre Salmerón Municipal Library, Remedios Sancho, have presented the 6th Regional Children's and Young Adult Book Fair, which will kick off this Thursday with the presentation of "Ilustrando Aullemos," an exhibition and book by Ana Almela. The fair will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal library, and the Cieza-born artist and Ángel Almela will speak. The fair itself will open on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Esquina del Convento.

According to Ramos, this year's program, "has been shaped by the pandemic, but is gradually recovering its essence." Along with various book presentations, there will be no shortage of musical performances. A good example of this is the literary concert "Rock Symphony" by the Maestro Gómez Villa Conservatory of Music Band. It will take place on April 28th at 8:00 PM on the Esquina del Convento esplanade. This same venue will host another musical event on April 22nd at 8:00 PM: "Conecta2 en concierto."

There will also be storytelling sessions, reading promotion workshops, and a collage workshop taught by Aurora Montoya. The program will include a poetry recital in honor of José Hierro by the La Sierpe y el Laúd Literature Group (April 23), the 1st Readers and Writers Meeting (April 24), and a lecture by Javier Urra (April 28). All of this will be complemented by book stalls occupied by local bookstores and publishers on the Esquina del Convento, where a tent will be set up, which, along with the library, will be the two focal points of the fair.
