The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has conducted an investigation in Cieza to investigate defamatory publications against a woman. This has led to the identification, location, and arrest of a resident of the municipality as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against honor, for serious defamation using publicity over the Internet.
The investigation began when a woman filed a complaint alleging that she had been subjected to numerous insulting and derogatory comments about her, which were published in reviews on the website of the company where she worked. The comments violated the victim's dignity and integrity, even leading to her dismissal.
Civilian security prevention officers from the Benemérita (Benemérita) initiated a series of investigations that led to the discovery that the person writing these comments was a resident of the municipality with whom the complainant had had certain disagreements.
The Civil Guard has concluded its investigation with the arrest of a 51-year-old woman from Cieza, suspected of committing a crime against honor, for serious insults committed with publicity.
