On June 23rd, the tour of the recently renovated Fuente del Ojo Wash House will kick off. Stipa, the company that won the competition to offer guided tours of the Wash House, is thus launching its program of tours to this new tourist attraction.

To this end, they have developed an ambitious project that includes dramatized tours for schools and families, as well as the incorporation of the washhouse into the "Urban Route" along with existing ones such as the Siyâsa Museum, the Esparto Museum, the Folklore Center, the Holy Week Museum and House, the Teodoro Mill, etc. All of this is intended to raise awareness of this emblematic building that, after many years of abandonment, is once again seeing the light of day.

 

A tour of the 'Traditions and Legends of San Juan Night' in Cieza

 

Midsummer Night has traditionally been a night steeped in mystery, legend, and magic. With this celebration approaching, Stipa Tourist Services has prepared a themed tour of the Fuente del Ojo Wash House. Through an enigmatic character, you'll travel back in time to the 19th century to relive the atmosphere of this unique building and showcase the various traditions linked to the magical night of Midsummer Night, which have virtually disappeared today.

Beauty rituals, enchantments, stories and legends, healing for illnesses, and many more surprises are part of this special visit on an equally special evening. The setting is the restored Lavadero de la Fuente, so closely linked to the history and culture of our town in earlier times, which once again takes center stage.

"Traditions and Legends on the Night of San Juan" is the name of the themed tour taking place on June 23rd at 10 pm at the Lavadero de la Fuente.
