In this new edition, the guest band is the "Agrupación Musical de Blanca," which will share the stage with the Cieza Municipal Music Band.
PRESENTATION OF BLANCA'S MUSICAL GROUP
The current Music Band, directed since 2005 by Mr. Víctor Cano Sánchez, has a staff of 50 musicians, with an average age of 18, whose youth, enthusiasm, and desire to work are a total guarantee for the continuity of this group.
Since 2000, it has hosted the "Villa de Blanca" Festival of Wind Bands and, since that same year, has participated in numerous Band Festivals throughout the Region of Murcia. It is worth highlighting the concerts it has given in recent years at the Víctor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia, as well as its presence for the first time in its history at the 21st and 23rd editions of the "Ciudad de Murcia" National Wind Band Competition.
In July 2013, she traveled to Anguillara Sabazia, Italy, a sister town to Blanca, where she paraded, gave concerts, and participated in various official events. She also shared the stage with various Italian musical groups, with whom she strengthened cultural and friendship ties, demonstrating the high musical quality of Blanca's Musical Group.
Various awards obtained
In 2016, he won second prize at the 5th Regional Wind Band Competition "Ciudad de Águilas" and first prize at the 26th National Wind Band Competition "Ciudad de Murcia." In February 2017, he premiered the work "Vieja Europa" by the illustrious Murcian composer Ginés Abellán at the Víctor Villegas Auditorium, alongside saxophonists Luis González and María García.
In recent years, he has carried out projects with the Coral Ars Nova associations of Cieza and the Friends of Music of Abarán. Also noteworthy are the rock and pop concerts and the Drilo Sinfónico show he has performed in recent summers.
