McDonald's, the leading brand in the restaurant sector in Spain, opens its first restaurant in Cieza, continuing its ambitious expansion plan in Spain, reaching 21 establishments in the Region of Murcia. Located in the Los Olivos shopping and leisure park, on the outskirts of the Murcia town, this opening represents a further boost to local employment with the creation of 45 jobs. The opening ceremony was attended by a delegation from the municipal council led by Mayor Tomás Antonio Rubio Carrillo.
Carolina Mediero, a McDonald's franchisee, noted: "As a franchisee, the opening of this restaurant in Cieza has a very special meaning. With this opening, we not only continue to consolidate McDonald's presence in Murcia, but we also create more than 40 new jobs that represent an opportunity for many Ciezan families in the area, whom we also thank for their trust in us for their professional development. This project is a clear demonstration of our desire to contribute to the development of the town and to offer residents a space where they can enjoy the best possible experience."
Ángel Castillo, Director of Restaurants at McDonald's Spain, emphasized: "With this new establishment, we take another step in McDonald's ambitious expansion plan in Murcia. Reaching 21 restaurants in this region is the result of many years of work and trust in a region where we want to continue growing. We will do so, as always, committed to the sustainable development of the communities in which we operate."
The new restaurant has a surface area of 350 m² and features a terrace, digital kiosks, table service, a McDrive, McCafé products, and a children's play area.
