Tomorrow, Thursday, May 17, at 8:00 p.m., a round table discussion entitled "Water in the Region of Murcia: Limited Resources, Perverse Management" will take place at the Atalaya Ateneo Club in the town of Cieza. The panel will feature Alfonso Sánchez, president of ARECA (Association of Irrigation Communities of Caravaca de la Cruz), Juan Alcaide, president of the Irrigation Union of the Molina de Segura Irrigation Estate, and Julia Martínez, member of Ecologists in Action and technical director of the New Water Culture Foundation (FNCA).

After an initial presentation on the situation regarding the unbridled expansion of irrigation, the environmental impact of the current production model, and the unsustainability of water demand, participants will explain alternative visions and models other than the current ones that sustainably manage the territory's water resources as a public environmental asset so that they serve the majority and the general interest.
