Woman values the performance of the purple dot during the festivities

A statement recalls that, during the patron saint festivities in honor of Saint Bartholomew, a purple point was set up in the youth area of La Era to raise awareness about the prevention of sexual violence, as well as providing psychological first aid in the event of a woman suffering sexual assault.

Regarding their awareness-raising and information-raising role, the professionals involved report that more than 1,110 people, men and women between the ages of 18 and 30, visited the purple point, where they received information on sexual violence and resources available at the national, regional, and municipal levels for the care of victims of gender-based violence, including victims of sexual violence. They were also given bracelets and fans from the "I Decide, You Respect" campaign, provided by the Cieza City Council.

On the other hand, regarding the assistance function, they report that they treated an elderly woman who was referred by the Local Police.

Finally, the Women's Department thanks the security forces, health services, and the MUJOMUR association for their work in ensuring the smooth running of this service.
