The Department of Employment and Economic Development, in collaboration with the Farmers' Center (COAG, UPA, and FECOAM), is reactivating the Forklift Operator, Tractor Handling and Safe Use, and Phytosanitary Product Handler Qualified Level courses, which were canceled due to the high number of COVID-19 cases in the municipality of Cieza.
These actions will be carried out to promote the integration of those involved into the workforce, enabling them to acquire the qualifications, skills, and experience that employers require for the start of the campaign. They are intended to provide the professional licenses necessary to carry out certain tasks, both on farms and in packaging.
The training will begin on March 1st with the Forklift Operator course and will be held in the afternoon from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Safe Tractor Handling course will then resume on March 3rd from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and finally, the Qualified Level Phytosanitary Product Handler course will begin once registration is complete. The training is completely free and is aimed at people in the agri-food sector (farmers, business owners, and the unemployed).
These training activities have been generated through the requests collected during the rounds of visits established by the Local Development Promotion Plan (PdDL), "focusing on targeted training, that is, geared toward the needs of local businesses."
