New series of tastings, samplings, and workshops at CICOLA

Municipal sources report that, following the success of previous programs, the Cieza City Council's retail and hospitality laboratory (CICOLA), located in the lower area of the Plaza de Abastos, is opening its doors to a new program that will run throughout the months of May and June.

The program is extensive and diverse, specially designed to be enjoyed by all age groups. Therefore, once again, there are activities for the little ones to learn and develop skills, as well as training courses for hoteliers and workshops aimed at the general public, who can indulge in the joy of cooking and acquire advanced culinary knowledge.

The extensive program of workshops and activities will kick off on May 9th, when you can experience the art of salting, one of the oldest methods of food preservation with a deep-rooted tradition in our region. This workshop will be preceded by others such as a chocolate workshop, a croquette workshop, wine tastings, cheese tastings, cooking workshops from other regions of Spain, a vegan and vegetarian cooking workshop, ceviche and tartar workshops, hamburger workshops, dessert workshops, and fruit workshops.

The program even includes a workshop that fuses film and gastronomy under the name "Eat the Cinema." Additionally, a ham-carving masterclass and a professional coffee-making workshop are offered.

All courses are taught by renowned industry professionals to, on the one hand, introduce gastronomy to children and adults, and on the other, meet the training needs of the local hospitality industry and boost the specialization of establishments.

All information about the program can be found on the municipal website, the only place where you can register for the various activities: www.cieza.es.
