New Local Public Employment program from the Department of Employment and Economic Development with a budget of €142,400

After participating in the call of April 24, 2025 of the Regional Employment and Training Service for the granting of subsidies of the Local Public Employment Program, the Cieza City Council received the granting of a subsidy for the amount of 49,875.00€ to carry out the Project 'Repair of pavements in Public Roads of Cieza 2025'.

This program aims to subsidize a project designed to promote employment in a group particularly hard hit by unemployment in recent years, namely the construction sector, for the execution of works and services of general and social interest.

Specifically, the Cieza City Council has hired four unemployed people for six months to carry out these works. Following the selection process for the project's personnel, the following will participate: three first-class bricklayers and one bricklayer's laborer.

The work will focus on repairing pavements in streets such as Hontana, the pedestrian area of the Rambla del Realejo, Calle Mesones, Placeta del Santo, Calle Doctor Fleming, Calle Albaicín, Cuesta Cosme, Avenida de Azorín, Calle Santa Gertrudis, Santa Ana, San José, Camino de Madrid and rural roads such as Camino de la Corredera, Camino de la Presa, Camino de Fomento Agrícola and Camino de la Serrana.

This program began on March 30, 2026 and will end on September 29, 2026. The total cost of the project amounts to €142,400.48, of which the Cieza City Council, through the Department of Employment and Economic Development, finances €92,525.48.
