The mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas Díaz, welcomed dentist Paula García Ríos, a 22-year-old from Cieza who holds the highest university record in her field, to City Hall.
Her final thesis was based on the study of systemic lupus erythematosus and was published by the prestigious environmental research and public health journal "International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health."
Mayor Pascual Lucas encouraged this young dentist to continue on the path of hard work and effort and expressed to her family "the pride it brings to see a woman from Cieza receive an award of excellence from the Complutense University of Madrid. It is a recognition that comes from effort, perseverance, and tenacity. Values that should prevail in our society."
At the same time, the mayor took the opportunity to highlight "the enormous potential and talent of so many Ciezans who, day after day, demonstrate their skill throughout our country, serving their country in the best way they know how."
