In just over a week, we can look forward to one of the most prestigious events on the popular running calendar. This will take place on Sunday the 30th, as part of the 36th Cieza City Half Marathon, with a course certified by the RFEA (Royal Spanish Athletics Federation), and the 16th annual 11.3km Solidarity Race, which once again counts towards the Region of Murcia Running Challenge popular race circuit. The race starts and finishes at the Convent Corner and is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM. In addition, and coinciding with the race, the 9th Annual Solidarity Walk Against Cancer will be held, a walk of approximately 5km, with proceeds going to the Cieza Local Board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer. The charitable aspect will also be present again, with one euro from each registration for the 11.3km race being donated to the ASCOPAS Association.

The event was officially launched on Tuesday, with attendees including the mayor of Cieza, Tomás Antonio Rubio, as well as the councilor for Sports, Cristo Manuel Lucas; the president of the Local Board of the AECC, Mª Dolores De Arce; the president of the Santa María Magdalena Brotherhood of Cieza, Joaquín Martínez, and the director of Communication of the FAMU, Adrián Bonache.

Registration remains open for the race, organized by the Santa María Magdaena Brotherhood in collaboration with the Sports Department of the Cieza City Council and the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, through Alcanza Tu Meta (Half Marathon and 11.3km Solidarity Run: https://www.alcanzatumeta.es/inscrip-previa.php?id=1074972; Walk Against Cancer: https://www.alcanzatumeta.es/inscrip-previa.php?id=1074553), until Thursday the 27th at 8:00 p.m. for card payments (POS terminal) or until the registration limit is reached.

The entry fee is €15 (€13 for athletes with FAMU, FTRM, or FCRM licenses). Registration on the day of the race—subject to availability—will cost €18. The charity walk will cost €5. Race bibs and timing chips can be collected on the day of the race at Paseo de Cieza up to half an hour before the start. A valid ID or other proof of identity is required for collection.

There will be trophies for the first three finishers in each of the established categories, both male and female, as well as for the first three local runners, the first three from the Brotherhood - regardless of gender - the oldest male and female runners who reached the finish line and the first three in the functional diversity category.

Once again this year, there will also be significant team prizes, with the best-ranked club receiving a trophy and Christmas basket - based on the times of the first five runners from each club, who must be accredited with a federation license - as well as a Christmas basket for the club that places the most runners across the finish line, counting both distances - Half Marathon and 11km Solidarity Run.

As is also customary, all registered participants will receive a complete runner's bag with technical clothing and any other gifts that the organization can obtain.
