On the last day of the year in Cieza, Murcia, one of the most anticipated races is held: the 14th San Silvestre "Ciudad de Cieza" 2023 Memorial Antonio S. Piñera López. The 14th San Silvestre Cieza 2023 will take place on December 31st, marking the last day of the year with energy and enthusiasm. The start and finish lines will be located in the picturesque Esquina del Convento, in the heart of Cieza.
The route of this popular race is approximately 6 km and will run through the central streets of the city of Cieza. A highlight is that the route will be well-marked, and organizers will be on hand at all times to guide runners in the right direction. It's also worth noting that the race will be held exclusively in an urban setting, avoiding crossroads or rural roads, ensuring the safety of participants.
Participation open to all
The 14th San Silvestre Cieza 2023 is designed to welcome runners of all ages and skill levels. The senior category allows any runner born in 2010 or earlier to participate, making it an inclusive race for people of all ages.
Children's Races
In addition to the general race, this event offers exciting races for the younger crowd. Starting at 5:00 PM, children can participate in age-specific races:
For those born in 2018 and later, there is a race of approximately 500 meters.
For those born in 2012 and 2013, the race covers a distance of 900 meters.
The children's races will be held in several stages, according to established categories, allowing the little ones to enjoy a sporting experience tailored to their age.
