The Board of Passion Brotherhoods of Cieza announced the winners of the 36th "Holy Week in Cieza 2024" Poster Competition this Saturday at an event attended by the board's president, Joaquín Diego Gómez; the first deputy mayor, María Ángeles Ruiz; the Holy Week councilor, María Turpín; and members of Ciezan brotherhoods and sisterhoods.
The boardroom of the Holy Week House-Museum was too small to accommodate the large audience that didn't want to miss the jury's decision and the awards ceremony.
The first prize, worth 500 euros, went to Javier Morote for his work entitled "Holy Christ." Second prize, worth 300 euros, went to Pedro Moreno for his work "Flagelación." Finally, Salvador Villa won third prize, worth 200 euros, for his work entitled "Muerto."
Morote's image will grace the promotional poster for Holy Week in Cieza 2024, while the second and third prize winners will grace the presentation ceremony and guide the Cieza processions.
