This past Thursday, August 2nd, the Cieza City Council presented the program for the upcoming festivities in honor of our patron saint, Saint Bartholomew.
The activities planned for this fair, including concerts, theater, sports activities, contests, and much more, were announced by the Councilor for Culture and Festivities, María Ramos; the Mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas; the Councilor for Services, Francisco Saorín; the President of the Brotherhood of San Bartolomé, Laura Villa; and the Fair's announcer, Manuel Jesús Ruiz. The Fair has a budget of approximately €130,000.
Proclamation of the 2018 Fair
The proclamation will be next Wednesday, August 15, at 8:30 p.m., where the procession of Saint Bartholomew will take place from his hermitage to the Church of the Assumption.
Upon arrival at the Plaza Mayor, a brief concert will be held by the Municipal Music Band at 9:30 p.m., followed by the reading of the proclamation at 9:45 p.m. by Don Manuel Jesús Ruiz González.
