As part of the cultural activities planned by the Atalaya Club for the month of October, tomorrow, Thursday, at 7:30 p.m., the Coen brothers' film "Fargo" will be screened in the Magic Lantern Film Club classroom.
Minnesota is a snowy desert where nothing ever happens. Amidst that snowy white, the Coen brothers offer us a wild, fun, and bloody journey into a story presented under the premise "based on a true story," but entirely conceived by these inspired brothers.
As in other films in his splendid filmography, a minor incident will unleash devastating consequences for the protagonists. The genius of this film is that, belonging in its own right to the noir genre, it reaches it by creating a ruthless comedy, oozing with carefree and bizarre black humor, showing us a gallery of characters who can only fit in a landscape as rural as the one shown to me in the film.
As expected, the cast is sublime and makes “Fargo” a must-see.
Free admission until capacity is reached.
