Firefighters and paramedics have rescued and taken to hospital the driver of a truck that overturned this morning at the intersection of the N-301A and RM-714 highways in Venta del Olivo, in the municipality of Cieza.
At 8:03 a.m., 1-1-2 received several calls reporting the accident, indicating that a refrigerated truck had overturned and its driver was injured and trapped.
Civil Guard patrols, a Mobile Emergency Unit (UME) from the Murcia Health Service, and firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium (CEIS) have been deployed to the scene.
After being rescued by firefighters, the injured man (a 58-year-old man) was stabilized by UME medical personnel and transferred to the Vega "Lorenzo Guirao" Hospital in Cieza.
