On Sunday afternoon, Cieza Local Police, Civil Guard, and Environmental Agents worked hard to rescue a couple of hikers who, disoriented in the Almadenes Canyon and fearing nightfall, alerted the Murcia Region's 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center.
Quickly, the emergency personnel mobilized by the CECOP, taking advantage of the fact that one of the Cieza Local Police Officers was very familiar with the Almadenes Canyon area, organized a rescue operation that successfully concluded with the rescue of the hikers in a highly dangerous and difficult-to-access area.
The rescued men, both men and women, are in good health, leaving nothing but a scare.
