Electrical installations in La Era and La Arboleja sabotaged

Cieza City Council, through its Sports Department, has reported several acts of vandalism that have occurred at municipal sports facilities, specifically at the lighting towers at the La Arboleja and La Era soccer fields in Cieza.

After inspecting the aforementioned facilities, it was discovered that the electrical panels supplying both towers of the football field had been tampered with, and that the cables feeding the capacitors had also been cut, rendering them inoperable.

A report was immediately filed at the main station of the Cieza Civil Guard barracks, which arrived at the facility and began the necessary investigations to clarify the facts.

Sources from the Sports Department have indicated that "this is not a mere act of vandalism, robbery, theft, or routine unauthorized access, but rather a crime of damage to public property, for which there is no explanation, since it not only attacks sports facilities but also significantly harms sports clubs and private users who use municipal sports facilities daily, especially during this period when official sports competitions begin." The head of the Sports Department, Pascual Egea, has "unreservedly condemned these acts, which clearly threaten the interests of our municipality."

The Cieza City Councilor for Sports has begun working to clarify these events by first filing a complaint and requesting that law enforcement agencies use all available means to investigate the perpetrators of this sabotage. He has also requested increased surveillance and monitoring of facilities susceptible to such acts.
