The mayor, Tomás Rubio, the councilor Mari Ángeles Ruiz and the head of Women's Affairs, Amparo Pino, took to the streets this Wednesday to promote the campaign against gender violence "He who truly loves you..." at the weekly market.
The campaign is included in the program of activities organized around the commemoration of November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The councilor and the councilwomen distributed guides on how to act in various situations of gender violence, as well as existing resources and reusable bags from the "Those who truly love you..." campaign, with the aim of publicizing the campaign, raising awareness and sensitizing the population about the scourge of gender violence.
During this activity, Mayor Tomás Antonio Rubio Carrillo, Councillor for Personnel Mª Ángeles Ruiz Aniorte and Amparo Pino, along with technicians from the Women's Department, distributed more than a thousand bags and action guides free of charge during the weekly market. The market provided information about the campaign, raised awareness of the situation of many women who are being abused, and raised awareness so that the population of Cieza is aware of the reality in which we live.
"The Cieza City Council continues its fight against this social scourge and will continue to strive for a municipality free of gender-based violence," municipal sources stated.
