Transparency reaches municipal procurement: Information day on electronic bidding for companies

The Cieza City Council, through its Councillor for Electronic Administration, Miguel Gual, invites all companies wishing to contract with this council to the information session that will take place next Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Capitol Theatre, Manuela Burló room.

Basically, Electronic Tendering services allow the preparation and electronic submission of bids by the supplier.

Specifically, during these sessions, information will be provided on how the bidder should prepare the documentation required for the electronic bid.

With this initiative, the Cieza City Council is responding to the principles of transparency and reduced bureaucracy that govern the new Public Sector Contracts Law. Furthermore, it is moving towards an electronic and paperless administration model that will allow for greater effectiveness and efficiency in management.

From this moment on, all bidding companies wishing to participate in the contracting processes of the Cieza City Council must submit their bids through the contracting profile of the municipal website: https://contratacion.cieza.es, which will allow participating companies to follow the contracting process on a daily basis.

Miguel Gual stated that “the implementation of electronic bidding is another step towards improving the efficiency of municipal public procurement. The electronic management of minor contracts will allow us to reduce procurement costs, shorten processing times, increase transparency, and open all procedures to greater competition. Furthermore, it will contribute positively to increasing the competitiveness of local SMEs by facilitating their access to public tenders, both in Cieza and in other municipalities.”
