Cieza train station.

Recently, RENFE confirmed that a second Alvia hybrid train will stop in Cieza, both to Madrid and Cartagena. With this new train, there are now two hybrid trains scheduled to stop in Cieza, allowing us to reach Madrid in less than three hours, given that they can reach speeds of up to 250 km/h. For this reason, the PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party) in Cieza has issued a press release in which it highly values the progress Cieza has made in communications and infrastructure. It undoubtedly represents an important step forward that will have positive consequences for tourism, with a new, more convenient and faster way to arrive. It will also have positive consequences for the development of our city, allowing us to arrive in Madrid and return in the same day to carry out any type of business, with the consequent savings in travel costs.

We Socialists have always supported the opening of the "camarillas bypass," understanding that it was essential and necessary for Cieza, especially. Likewise, we have always been working toward the development of high-speed trains. There is no doubt that our Mayor, Pascual Lucas, has done a great job, demanding these infrastructures and these trains for the city, something that has been achieved thanks to the efforts of everyone, led by the Mayor, and thanks to the criteria of the country's Socialist government, which understands that rail communication is essential and must serve to connect the regions. In this way, the commitments made to Cieza by the former Government Delegate, Diego Conesa, and current candidate for the Presidency of the Region of Murcia, are also being fulfilled. Keeping his promise, he has adapted the "camarillas bypass" and also made two Alvia hybrid trains available to our city.
