The six amendments registered to the CARM's 2020 budget aim to build long-requested and necessary infrastructure for the municipality.
Recently The Cieza City Council plenary session agreed, at the proposal of the PSOE and IU-Verdes, to ask the parliamentary groups in the regional assembly to present amendments to the regional accounts. so that these reflect the Ginete Bridge, the remodeling of the RM-B19, the Maripinar Bypass, and the Ascoy-Los Prados and El Maripinar collectors. Cieza is in a very bad position in the 2020 regional budget project.
This Wednesday, the coordinator of IU-Verdes of Cieza and Councilor for Works, Housing and Infrastructure, Francisco Saorín, and the general secretary of Podemos in the town, Piedad Abellán, have announced in a press conference the Amendments prepared for Unidas Podemos to present to the CARM's 2020 budget project, which in his opinion “Cieza is relegated again to a position very far from that which corresponds to its population in terms of investments.”
Regarding the content of the amendments, Saorín explained that the bulk of them (six) refer to powers of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure, while The remaining three are addressed to the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment.
Entering into the content of the amendments and specifically the budget of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure, the first of them, for an initial amount of 1,000,000 euros extendable by six more, aims to resume the Cieza del Maripinar Variant project. “This infrastructure has been in the spotlight since 1992, and rivers of ink have been spilled over it., which is why we demand that propaganda be replaced by action,” Saorín stressed.
The second historical demand is the remodeling of the RM-B19 highway, for which the request is to include one million euros. "It should be remembered that ten years ago a motion by IU+LV on this matter was passed in the Regional Assembly, so we believe it's time for the project to become a reality." It is proposed to widen it, eliminate curves, pave and signpost it, since it is a fundamental artery for Ciezan agriculture.", the IU-Verdes leader has specified.
The third (500,000 euros) is intended to Conditioning of the North Entrance of Cieza. A performance that requires the involvement of regional and central administration and that IU has been fighting since 2007.
In addition, another amendment pursues the Construction of a roundabout at the intersection of the old N-301 and Vereda de Morcillo (300,000 euros), one of the most dangerous intersections currently existing in our urban area, given that it occurs between two main communication routes with heavy traffic.
Also, it appears among the amendments the Ginete bridge (300,000 euros), a demand from farmers in Cieza to connect the Vega in its upper area.
Finally, within the powers of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure, the aim is to: rehabilitate the Sanz Orrio neighborhood.In the 2010 Regional Government Budget Project, item 140200 431A 7 appeared with €1. For the 2012 financial year, a €2 item was approved. Starting in 2013, the item disappeared. A €600,000 item is proposed," explained the Housing Councilor.
Finally, Saorín explained that within the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, three amendments had been prepared, the construction of the Ascoy-Los Prados outfall connection collector, the construction of the Maripinar collector and the repair of rural roads which could not be recorded due to the lack of funds from which to collect the financial resources for these infrastructures, as required by budgetary techniques.
For its part, the general secretary of Podemos in Cieza, Piedad Abellán, has emphasized the The need for the CARM budgets to give Cieza the role it deserves in accordance with its population size at the regional level, which necessarily implies that the amendments are passed.
Abellán concluded his speech by insisting on the need for the requested infrastructure for the municipality, in some cases already contemplated in the budgets of previous years and never carried out, in others previously committed by the CARM and in others claimed by the Cieza City Council.
