At 5:20 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, a Civil Guard unit requested support from the Local Police, as they had become complicated in their arrest.
They immediately went to the apartment where they were located and found a woman on the floor in a hallway having an anxiety attack. Two members of the Civil Guard were also working with a man who had barricaded himself in his room.
The man was carrying a knife and was making a show of trying to stab himself in the heart and neck, threatening to do so by shouting repeatedly.
There were very tense moments, and he even cut himself several times on his forearms.
After approximately five hours of tense negotiations between Civil Guard officers and other police officers, the man collapsed and handed over the knife. Medical personnel treated him for cuts on his arms and his highly agitated state.
