The Santa María Magdalena Brotherhood announces that despite the sadness we feel at not being able to celebrate the procession of the Santísimo Cristo de la Sangre for the second consecutive year, we want to keep alive this year the light of hope that a member of the brotherhood should never lose. To this end, we have seen fit to hold our traditional "Via Crucis" inside the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption on Holy Monday, March 29, 2021, at 8:00 p.m.
The event will be subject to the safety measures established by the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption (limited capacity, social distancing, hygiene measures, etc.), and all protocols will be suspended. Access control will be established, and once the basilica's permitted capacity is reached, no one will be allowed to enter until someone leaves.
So that all those unable to attend can follow the event, it will be broadcast live on the Parish of the Assumption's YouTube channel, and the link to follow the event will be published on the brotherhood's social media channels, detailed below:

The "Via Crucis" will be officiated by our countryman D.Manuel Verdú Moreno, Rector of the San Fulgencio Major Seminary and the San José Minor Seminary of the Diocese of Cartagena, during the same the following compositions will be performed:
- “Saint Mary Magdalene”, by José Gómez Villa (1990).
- “Jerusalem”, by José Vélez García (1999).
- “My Bitterness”, by Víctor Manuel Ferrer Castillo (2007).
- “Penitent Ciezano”, by Joaquín Yelo Fernández (2017).
All of them are arranged by the director and composer from Cieza, Francisco José Ríos López.
These marches will be performed by the quartet “Andelma” formed by the musicians: first violin- Ivan Bermudez Garcia; second violin- Yolanda Sánchez Lucas; viola- Matías Mayordomo Marín; cello-Antonio Francisco Villa Moreno.
