The Cieza City Council's Department of Commerce and Hospitality, headed by Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas L\u00f3pez, has announced the first CICOLA program, which will run throughout the month of June.<\/p>\n

CICOLA, the Cieza City Council's retail and hospitality laboratory, located on the ground floor of the Plaza de Abastos, is finally launching its regular program, following the decline caused by the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Throughout the month of June, workshops and courses will be held, both to train professionals and the general public, and to promote the space created by the City Council as part of the Reconexta project. This project has two clear objectives: training and entrepreneurship as a driver of youth employment growth.<\/p>\n

Cicola clearly distinguishes a training kitchen with 15 stations, which will allow students to cook their own recipes, and a Gastrobar section with four stations dedicated to entrepreneurs who want to start their business in the hospitality industry.<\/p>\n

The first series, which will be held throughout the month of June, includes workshops for the general public as well as workshops specifically aimed at training waiters and waitresses, thus fulfilling a demand from Cieza's restaurateurs and the restaurateurs' association, which has expressed to the City Council the need for staff and training.<\/p>\n

Rice dishes, appetizers, Murcian cuisine, pasta, bread... these are some of the delicacies that all those who decide to visit Cicola can prepare, guided by top professionals.<\/p>\n

For the Councilor for Commerce and Hospitality, Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas L\u00f3pez, \u201cCicola is a project we've been working on for a long time and one we consider essential for our tourism and, therefore, economic development. In addition to being able to offer courses to our citizens in general, the intention is to provide a wide range of courses for professionals, and for those future professionals starting out now who will also be able to have their opportunity in the Gastrobar area. We continue to support Cieza, serving the needs of hospitality industry on this occasion and once again becoming a benchmark municipality in terms of training, employment, and economic development.\u201d<\/p>\n
