Municipal sources indicate that, last month, the Cieza City Council, through its Sports Service, applied for a grant from the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia for the covering and remodeling of one of the courts of the Mariano Rojas Municipal Sports Centre, under the Order of March 31, 2023, of the Ministry of the Presidency, Tourism, Culture, Youth, Sports and Spokesperson, which calls for grants, under a competitive bidding system, to municipalities of the Region of Murcia, for the repair, expansion and improvement of municipal sports facilities.<\/p>\n
The municipal technicians have drafted a basic execution project with a base tender budget of \u20ac467,655.72. A grant of \u20ac150,000.00 has been requested; therefore, if the requested grant is awarded, the percentage contribution from each administration would be: CARM \u20ac150,000.00, 32.07% of %, and City Council \u20ac317,655.72, 67.93% of %.<\/p>\n
In the words of the acting Councilor for Sports, Carlos Semitiel, "This project addresses a long-standing demand from local sports clubs and non-federated athletes in the municipality. It will significantly alleviate the strain on other indoor facilities and optimize the use of municipal sports facilities, allowing for greater efficiency. Cieza must continue along the path it has followed in recent years, renovating municipal sports facilities. This City Council has secured substantial funding from various government bodies.
