The mayor of Cieza, Tom\u00e1s Rubio, has expressed his firm determination to combat the filth in streets and squares with a comprehensive plan of ongoing actions. This plan was agreed upon this Tuesday in a meeting with the manager of the Aguas de Cieza water company, Manuel Pablo Mart\u00edn Lozano, and has begun implementation today on some streets in the city center.<\/p>\n
Rubio, who was accompanied by Councilor Mar\u00eda Turp\u00edn, stated that "we are going to confront urban filth, and we are going to do so starting today with a series of measures agreed upon with Aguas de Cieza that will be implemented starting this Tuesday."<\/p>\n
The actions include high-pressure water cleaning on streets. In the most heavily soiled areas, anti-scaling agents and soap will be applied. Intensive cleaning will be carried out from July 11 to 21. Today, Tuesday, a deep cleaning was already carried out in Callej\u00f3n de los Frailes. On July 13 and 14, deep cleaning will also be carried out around the perimeter of the Post Office building adjacent to Calle Mesones and Plaza de Espa\u00f1a. On the remaining days, general high-pressure water cleaning will be carried out throughout the urban area of Cieza. Intensive cleaning will be carried out using high-pressure water on streets, as well as cleaning dry debris from pavements using high-pressure water.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, special cleaning of impact points has been scheduled for weekends and holidays.<\/p>\n
Likewise, there will be an improvement in the emptying of waste bins. Waste bins are emptied during the usual morning shift operations, with most of them being removed. To improve this service, an increase in the removal of the most critical units is proposed.<\/p>\n
Finally, the mayor announced the cleaning of the area surrounding the containers and underground dumpsters, explaining that "the goal is to clean the perimeters of Cieza's underground dumpsters using a team consisting of two workers and a sweeper. The work involves bringing in as much waste as possible that is deposited outside and, subsequently, by blowing it out, depositing it within the reach of the sweeper.
