The Cieza City Council's Department of European Projects and Strategic Objectives has been awarded first prize in Category 1, "Ideas aimed at modernizing commercial businesses with in-person sales," as part of its Smart City project.<\/p>\n
This recognition was awarded in the "6th Competition for Technological Ideas for Retail Trade," organized by the State Secretariat for Trade, part of the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Enterprise.<\/p>\n
The winning proposal, entitled "Sales Management through Eye Tracking," presented by the Cieza City Council's smart city office team, stood out for its innovation and focus on improving sales management efficiency in face-to-face sales environments using eye tracking technology. It was the only public administration to win first prize in any of the four categories.<\/p>\n
This award, worth 8,500 euros, is a testament to the commitment and excellence demonstrated by the Cieza City Council's Department of European Projects and Strategic Objectives in implementing cutting-edge technological solutions in the city, in this case to boost commercial businesses with in-person sales.<\/p>\n
The competition, which received numerous high-quality applications from both public administrations and leading technology entities, also awarded honorable mentions to other innovative ideas. The jury highlighted the exceptional quality of the proposals submitted, recognizing the effort and creativity of all the contributions.<\/p>\n
The Cieza City Council is proud of this significant achievement, which underscores its ongoing commitment to innovation and technological advancement to improve the business experience in the municipality.<\/p>\n
The award presentation will be held at a public ceremony at the Ministry's headquarters, a date yet to be determined.<\/p>\n
