The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, as part of Operation Talking, has conducted an investigation in Cieza to investigate the theft of a mobile phone valued at \u20ac1,300. This investigation has culminated in the arrest of the complainant, a 24-year-old man, as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of simulating a crime and fraud.<\/p>\n
The investigation began when a resident of Cieza went to the Civil Guard headquarters in the municipality of Cieza to report that, the day before, while making a call, his cell phone had been stolen by an individual on a scooter.<\/p>\n
The investigation revealed that the following day, he sold his phone at a local computer store, allegedly intending to keep it after filing the complaint. He used the money from the sale to buy a new one.<\/p>\n
The Civil Guard found out that he had also informed the insurance company, which provided him with a terminal identical to the one allegedly stolen, thus obtaining two high-end and valuable terminals in a short space of time.<\/p>\n
Operation "Talking" has culminated in the arrest of a 24-year-old man from Cieza, suspected of feigning crime and fraud.<\/p>\n
The detainee and the investigations carried out have been made available to the First Instance and Investigation Court No. 1 of Cieza.<\/p>\n
