Ciezan writer Mayte Salmer\u00f3n Almela presents her third novel, entitled An autumn in the Big Apple<\/em>, on Friday, March 8, at 6:30 p.m., at the Padre Salmer\u00f3n Library in Cieza. The following day, Saturday, March 9, at 6:00 p.m., she will present it at the Casa de la M\u00fasica y Legado de las Artes in Jumilla. Both performances are part of the cultural program for International Women's Day, commemorated on March 8.<\/p>\n

The presentation events are open to all audiences, and admission is free until capacity is reached.<\/p>\n

Following in the footsteps of his previous novels, A summer in Saint-Malo <\/em>and Return to Quebec<\/em>, the author once again captivates readers with an addictive story set, this time, in New York. The central theme, shrouded in mystery, revolves around a wealth of emotions and questions that won't be resolved until the end of the book, a hallmark of the young author's literary style.<\/p>\n

New York will be the city that invites him to remember that summer in Saint-Malo, where a small loose end was left. It is this detail from the past that will link this new adventure with the appearance of some dead children, in this case, with a M<\/em> on their wrists.<\/p>\n

Who are these children? Will they be related to the previous plot? How will the appearance of these corpses affect the protagonist?<\/p>\n

The end of A summer in Saint-Malo <\/em>It is actually the beginning of this new story; New York City will be the main protagonist, the one that will lead Clara to know herself better and try to find what she is looking for.<\/p>\n

Mayte Salmer\u00f3n Almela published her first book, A summer in Saint-Malo,<\/em> in 2019, and his second, Return to Quebec,<\/em> in 2022. Both novels were very well received by readers.<\/p>\n

Salmer\u00f3n has been a winner and finalist in various literary competitions, something that has encouraged her to continue her work in literature and to educate herself through various writing courses.<\/p>\n

She has also collaborated with various media outlets, such as the literary magazine Babab, where she has her own section, "Let's Talk About Them," a series of short stories featuring important women in history.
